Iberia Industrial Development Foundation
The Iberia Industrial Development Foundation (IDF) was established in 1984 as a Quasi-Public Foundation and serves as the primary facilitator of Economic Development Activities for the Parish of Iberia, Louisiana. The IDF is a member-driven organization made up of both public entities and private business members. It is governed by a 20 member Board of Directors which is made up of representatives from all local governing bodies, and local business leaders. Helping local companies of all sizes grow and prosper, we offer free of charge comprehensive business planning services as well as information on programs designed to help in expanding your business.

Serving communities of New Iberia, Jeanerette, Loreauville and Delcambre, Louisiana as well as the Port of Iberia, Acadiana Regional Airport and LeMaire Memorial Airport Industrial Park Complexes, the Iberia Industrial Development Foundation is your central location for dissemination of information of available resources that create business opportunities.
Understanding the unique needs of businesses within Iberia Parish, the IDF works with owners to steer them to the proper business incentives that fits their needs the best, from Louisiana small business grants to various Louisiana Economic Development incentives. The Iberia Industrial Development Foundation’s Small Business Advisory program provides information and services needed by entrepreneurs to create and operate business enterprises in Iberia Parish. All of these services are provided free of charge and are completely confidential.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette New Iberia Research Center
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette New Iberia Research Center specializes in the breeding, management, and importation of a diverse range of nonhuman primate species and offers a broad range of diagnostic, laboratory, and human resources for the development and characterization of nonhuman primate models for applied and basic research aimed at promoting human quality of life.
SLCC New Iberia Campus
The South Louisiana Community College System operates a campus located at the Acadiana Regional Airport. The SLCC New Iberia Campus location provides instructional programs with provide skilled employees for business and industry that contribute to the overall economic development and workforce for the needs of the state. With over 500 students enrolled in 16 different areas of instruction, the college is committed in providing post-secondary instruction in vocational and technical education to Acadiana students helping them prepare for career employment and advancement.

The Iberia Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official parish marketing agency promoting New Iberia, Avery Island, Jefferson Island, Jeanerette, Loreauville and Delcambre as a destination. Marketing programs target leisure travelers, business travelers, media, entertainment industry, and the travel trade including group tour planners, meeting planners, sports planners and special event planners.
