Iberia Economic Development Authority (IEDA)

The Iberia Economic Development Authority (IEDA), a state chartered authority, serves to focus on moving Iberia Parish forward in the public domain with realistic, actionable ideas and projects that are attainable now or in the near future. To that end, the IEDA Board of Commissioners is moving forward aggressively on strategic plans that have been developed with various governmental and private entities within the community, with the goal being to select several attainable projects that will make Iberia Parish a better place to live, work and do business.

A Growing Community

Live, Work and do Business in Iberia Parish

The IEDA will then work closely with governmental leaders to get these projects completed in an expeditious manner. Whether expanding fiber optics, examining the connectivity of our industrial parks, building new business parks or identifying new sites for shovel ready development or improving our intermodal assets, our focus is always to ask “How can we make it better now?”

IEDA serves as a central hub for development activities within the parish, including collection and maintenance of vital stats and demographics, coordination between local government and potential relocating businesses, as well as establishing a plan to ensure progressive business development in the future. It’s a place where both new and existing businesses that want to grow and expand can plug in and be a part of growing our community.

Through the Acadiana Regional Airport, Port of Iberia, and Progress Point Business Park, the IEDA Board of Commissioners is moving forward aggressively on strategic plans that have been developed with various governmental and private entities within the community, with the goal being to select several attainable projects that will make Iberia Parish a better place to live, work and do business. The IEDA will then work closely with governmental leaders to get these projects completed in an expeditious manner.
